Self-Washing Floor Troughs

Installing Sani-Floor® Self-Washing Floor Troughs is very similar to the installation of any other floor trough with the addition of a cold water line.  We urge you to pay particular attention to the following 4 important performance tips:

Performance Tip 1: In general, the closer the solenoid actuated valve is to the unit, the better the system works!  If both the pressure tank and solenoid are close to the unit that is even better.  (Install Solenoid within 8 feet (2.44 m) from the unit)

Performance Tip 2: Use a 1″ (25) water line from the pressure tank to the solenoid valve and from the solenoid valve to the Sani-Floor units and run the pressure tank at 50 PSI (3.45 bar).   (Adjust air pressure at the tank when empty of water)

Performance Tip 3: Do not install pressure tanks at a distance greater than 30 feet (9.14 m) from the solenoid without contacting Sani-Floor for design assistance.  If you must install the tank remotely from the units, install the solenoids as close to the units as possible.

Performance Tip 4: Be absolutely certain that the units are connected to a water supply line with approximately 70-80 PSI (4.83-5.52 bar) static pressure available.
